Olympic Adventure Trail – Segment Restoration – July & August

Restoration of OAT Segment (west of Joyce Access Road).

The DNR has given permission to proceed with restoration of the OAT trail segment west of the Joyce Access Road that has been closed due to timber harvesting.  The trail restoration project will be a combined effort of the County, volunteers, and any other resources (e.g., chain gang) that can be assembled.  DNR is hoping to contribute labor (if available) and assist with needed materials.  Significant work towards trail restoration is expected to move forward in July.

Cooper Ranch Road Closure – July 18th to October 17th

Temporary Closure of Cooper Ranch Road.

Cooper Ranch Road between Milepost 0.23 and Milepost 0.40 will be closed completely beginning July 18 thru October 17 in order to install a new culvert in Kugel Creek to remove an existing fish passage barrier.

The closed road segment during this period is just west of the ODT-Camp Creek Trailhead off of Cooper Ranch Road. During the closure period, the ODT-Camp Creek Trailhead and parking area off of Cooper Ranch Road will remain open. However, there will be no improved access around the closure point to continue west from the ODT-Camp Creek Trailhead on Cooper Ranch Rd.
